Hi, I’m Maria!
Growing up, I had a dog who was part of my family until I was 16. As soon as I was old enough, I took on the responsibility of his walks and feeding, and as he got older, I made sure he had his morning medication until he passed away. Losing him was hard, and it took me some time to reconnect with other pets, but my love for animals has always been strong. As a child, I dreamed of becoming a vet, so it felt natural to want to connect with animals again. Since I can’t afford to have a pet right now, I started looking for ways to enjoy their company without the long-term commitment.
Since June, I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats in their owners' homes while they are away on vacation, and about a month ago, I got my own place in Arnhem. Now, I really miss being surrounded by pets. So when I saw the chance to work as a pet sitter, I knew it would be the perfect way to experience again the love and joy animals bring me, and even make a little living doing what I love.
